In research
Securing today's data against tomorrow's computers.
Research to help UAE entities plan and complete their move to post-quantum encryption.
The problem
Future quantum computers are expected to break the public-key encryption that protects identities, payments and government communications today. Data harvested now can be decrypted later, so the move to post-quantum cryptography has to begin before those computers exist.
Questions we are researching
- How should thousands of cryptographic assets be ranked by real business and national risk, not just by algorithm?
- How can live systems in banking, identity, ports and utilities move to post-quantum algorithms without downtime?
- How can applications become crypto-agile, so algorithms can be changed again without rewriting software?
- How do hybrid classical and post-quantum schemes perform on UAE networks, devices and legacy hardware?
What we plan to build
Planned outputs. Each passes the lab's stage gates before it is offered to anyone.
- Quantum risk engine
- Scores each cryptographic asset by exposure, data lifetime and criticality.
- Migration planner
- Generates a phased migration roadmap with dependencies and effort.
- Post-quantum test lab
- A UAE-hosted environment to test post-quantum performance on realistic systems.
